- Arrive to the worship center at 10:45 – Prior to when children are dismissed by the Pastor. This will allow time with the leader to review any aspects of the activity and also allows time to prepare the feast.
- Prepare the feast each week either before the children arrives or during the Response time. (Please Not during the Circle times) First Greeter listed on the schedule brings the snack; second greeter listed supplies the juice. Cups and Napkins are provided.
- Welcome the children quietly at the door of the worship center and bring them in one at a time to receive name tag and allow them to give their offering is they have one.
- Encourage the correct behavior by example or with a gentle reminder. Be on the lookout for activities that could interrupt the story and intercede. The leader will not be focusing on correcting behavior of the children, but will continue with the story to keep the focus of all the other children on the story pieces.
- Help the children only with what they can’t do themselves.
- Serve the feast. (Incorporate the two children helpers from the list provided in the worship center.)
- Return any work the children fininshed during response time while they eat the feast or as they are leaving the center.
- Meet the parents at the door when they return for their child and tell each child individually.
- The children will be reminded throughout the year by the leader of the "rules" of the Worship Center: Talk softly, Walk slowly. Please try to demonstrate these behaviors as an example. Thank you for your service in this area. My prayer is that our children will learn to worship in their own setting and manner as we provide the means and the basis to do so.
