Vietnamese Ministry
As the result of some of our leadership spending yearly time in Vietnam training and equipping pastors there, we, as a church began to see a need to reach out to the Vietnamese right here in Whatcom County. After doing some research, we learned that there was a substantial Vietnamese population here, and also no intentional outreach to them that we could identify. In response to that need, in November of 2010, we brought Pastor Duong, his wife Ha, and 2 year old, Duong over from Vietnam to help us reach out to the Vietnamese in Whatcom County. He is trained in linguistics, and his primary reroute to them has been teaching English. Already, a small faith community has begun to meet bi-monthly on Saturday nights at his home. It has been a blessing to hear the stories of transformation, and the people that are being saved as a result of this ministry. For more information on our Vietnamese Fellowship please call Duong at the FRC office, at 360-354-4221.
